General questions
Obalero is a tool that deals with the entire packaging design process. Everything is designed to make the whole process easy to use, clear, fast and flexible. Obalero helps you from the beginning, when you download the exact technical drawing for the selected packaging, through real-time 3D visualizations, presentations, client comments, fine-tuning of variants to the final creation of sophisticated 3D visualizations. Obalero works best in conjunction with Adobe Illustrator, the de-facto standard in graphics packaging, for which we have developed a custom plugin that can be installed from this page.
Obalero is a web application, so you don't need to install anything on your computer - the application runs directly in your web browser, just like this site. However, if you are working with Adobe Illustrator, it is very useful to download our plugin, which will make your work much faster and easier - the design is automatically transferred from Adobe Illustrator at the touch of a button. You can easily install the Obalero plugin for Adobe Illustrator from the Adobe Exchange site.
Obalero has its own and growing database of technical drawings and 3D models of individual packages. For a start we can offer beverage cans, beverage cartons and selected bottles.
Our team is constantly expanding the range of supported products, and we will soon add more drawings of cans (Ardagh, CANPACK, Ball, Crown), beverage cartons (SIG, Tetra Pak), shrink foils for bulk packaging of cans, bottles and many other products.
If you need to add a product that is not yet in our database, our team will add it for you within our capabilities. In the future, this will be a service paid for with Obalero credits.
We have different models of cooperation for packaging manufacturers. We would be happy to hear from you and we will arrange to add your packaging portfolio to the Obalero platform, so that we can become a world leader in supporting packaging design.

Yes, this is not a problem. However, you will have to upload the textures (flat product design) manually. Therefore, if you are working with Adobe Illustrator, the de-facto standard in packaging design, it will be much faster to install our plugin, which does this completely automatically and speeds up the whole process immensely.
Technical questions
Obalero is primarily a web application that runs in all currently supported browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Firefox, etc. For everything to run smoothly, the computer must have enough power to display 3D web graphics.
Since we offer the Free plan, which is completely free, it will be fastest to try Obalero right away on your computer and see how fast it runs. If there are any complications, don't be afraid to contact us right away.
The Adobe Illustrator plugin works from Adobe Illustrator X.X on both Windows and macOS operating systems.
It's very simple. Install the plugin directly from the Adobe Exchange site where there are detailed instructions on how to proceed. If you still have any questions, we are here to help you.
Sales questions
Yes. The basic Free plan is completely free. Forever. Seriously.
Yes. We provide a discount of two months free with an annual subscription. We also provide discounts for education and students. Contact us for more information.
No. If you choose the Free plan, no payment card is required. Additionally, we have no trial period that expires over time - this basic plan is free once and for all.
All services can be paid for by payment card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. We use Stripe, the world's leading payment platform, to process all transactions. On our side, we do not store credit card numbers that we do not even know. In the case of the Enterprise plan, payment by invoice can be contracted.
Yes, you can downgrade to lower plans, including the Free plan, which is free. Downgrading will limit features that were only available on the original plan and are not available on the downgraded plan you are switching to. There is currently only one paid plan available. We will be introducing more plans with different feature ranges and pricing in the near future. Plans will be changeable as needed.
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Once the active subscription expires, you will be switched to the Free plan and no further payment will be made. Switching to the Free plan will limit the features available for the paid plans. More information about each plan can be found here.
